To the southwest USA, Saturday, June 9, 2018

We took the flight to Salt Lake City from Hartford via Chicago, up 3,30 a.m. Unfortunately the O'Hare International Airport in Chicago was closed due to bad weather the morning, and we got more than two hours delayed. But fortunately, we managed to get our plane from Chicago to Salt Lake City (we spend no more than 5 minutes in the airport), and even more fortunately we got our luggage with us. On the second leg we had a fantastic flight across the USA with clear skies and could see how the landscape changed to get very impressive when we reached the Rocky Mountains In Salt Lake City we picked up our car and then we had 4 hours drive to our first destination: Moab, a former mining town now center for outdoor tourism for young and eager folks with focus on outback driving in jeeps and ATVs. We had our dinner (I was extremely tired at that time!) at the local beer restaurant in Moab (seems that all American cities has at least one such restaurant!).
