A walk along the east coast of Langeland.
There is no official hiking trail along the southern part of the east coast of Langeland, and it attracts very few visitors even though it is very beautiful. For historical and political reasons, the present hiking trail on Langeland (Øhavsstien – Hiking along the Archipelago) only covers the northern and central part of the island.
The east coast of Langeland has a straight coastline. Waves and currents has rearranged the coast to make it straight. Behind this straight coastline there has previously been a number of wetlands. Today, the wetlands are transformed into grain fields by means of ditches and pumping stations.
The east coast of Langeland has a straight coastline because waves and currents have moved material around.

We had a nice biking trip to Ristinge Harbor where Langelands Tourist and Business Association had organized the Day of Sea and Islands (Archipelago Day). Ristinge Harbor is the smallest municipal port on Langeland.
We started on our bikes – view from the road to Lindelse Nor

Downs Klint, Langeland, Denmark, Sunday 08 January 2017
Our Sunday trip was to the southern tip of Langeland, where our Facebook birdwatcher friends had seen Long-tailed duck, common around the Danish islands, where they spend the winter before returning to the artic to breed. We were fortunate and saw several Long-tailed ducks.

Disruption – the new buzz-word
Disruption is the new buzz-word that IT monopolies like Google and Facebook use to market their business.
Disruption is also intended for use in the public sector to continue the New Public Management (NPM) in transferring management and earnings-philosophies from the private business to the public sector. The argument is the employees in the public sector over time can be just as effective as the employees in the private sector. Bur actually the results of NPM implementation in the Danish public sector has been more control, less employee satisfaction and dedication and in the end reduced effectivity.
Disruption is a concept designed to make money for the major IT monopolies. Disruption is both a techno-utopianism and a new religion.
Google and Facebook of the other IT monopolies have even formed their own lobbying organization to preach the merry disruption message: Singularity University (https://su.org/).
On Monday morning (2nd January), the Danish prime minister (Lars Løkke Rasmussen) will meet for the first time with the Government's recently appointed disruption advisory council (https://www.altinget.dk/digitalvelfaerd/artikel/loekke-kickstarter-disruptionraad-foer-jul). The disruption advisory council will discuss how to "seize the opportunities in the technological development, and assure that everyone joins the development."
Disruption principles has already been tested in Danish tax administration, where artificial intelligence and IT has replaced many experts with great dedication, a lot of experience (and high salary), with an immense loss of tax-revenue for the Danish society as a result.
